બિલ મળતાં જ તેમાં દર્દીનું નામ, તારીખ અને રકમ તપાસી લો. કોઈ ભૂલ હોય તો તે સમયે સુધારો કરાવવો સામાન્ય રીતે વધુ સરળ રહે છે. ઘણા સમય પછી જૂનું બિલ શોધીને સુધરાવવાની દોડધામ ટાળી શકાય.
ધારો કે સારવાર દરમિયાન બહારથી દવાઓ ખરીદવી પડી. તો માત્ર દવાનું બિલ અલગથી રાખવાને બદલે સંબંધિત પ્રિસ્ક્રિપ્શન સાથે ગોઠવો. ફાઇલ વાંચનારને કઈ દવા કઈ સલાહના આધારે ખરીદાઈ છે તે સમજવામાં મદદ મળશે. જોકે ચોક્કસ કેસમાં કયા દસ્તાવેજો જરૂરી છે તે કચેરી પાસેથી જાણી લેવું જોઈએ.
કુટુંબના સભ્યની સારવારનો ક્લેમ હોય તો તેમની પાત્રતા અંગે પહેલાં સ્પષ્ટતા મેળવો. સંબંધ દર્શાવવાથી જ દરેક શરત પૂર્ણ થઈ જાય એવું માની લેવાના બદલે લાગુ નિયમ હેઠળ કઈ માહિતી જોઈએ છે તે પૂછો. પરિવારના સભ્યની વિગતોમાં તફાવત હોય તો તે પણ સમયસર ધ્યાન પર લાવો.
